Pilates Exercises for Tennis Elbow

Tennis Elbow is a situation where in the tendons get inflamed due to repeated movement of the elbow joint resulting in softness and soreness in the elbows.

It is mostly common for athletes and people performing a lot of manual work. The strain on the elbows would cause the tendons to tear and create a lot of pain. Pilates exercises for tennis elbow can give a lot of relief from the pain and help in faster recovery as well.

Pilates Exercises for Tennis Elbow:

There are some simple Pilate exercises given below which can be practiced by people with tennis elbow.

  • The person performing the exercise would need to take a small water bottle in their palm and slowly move only their wrist and not their entire hand. – This should be done 10 times each of three sets. As the person feels better, the weight held in the palm could increase gradually.
  • Next the afflicted arm should be placed on a table and the palm should be facing upwards.
    Using a light weight the hand should be moved slowly up and down. – This exercise should be performed 10 times each in three sets. The weight can be gradually increased as per the person’s convenience.
  • Next using a squeeze ball, try to get a grip of it in your palm. It should be gripped tightly; the ball should be squeezed around 20 to 25 times.  – This exercise can be done at least three to four times throughout the entire day.

These are few Pilate exercises that can be performed to help in reducing the pain incurred from tennis elbow, and if followed regularly, the results would be quite remarkable.
