Running is always a better option to burn calories than strolling or walking but keep in mind that never commit this mistake to keep running on treadmill steadily or holding the handrails of treadmill equipment. Experts say if you are using treadmill at home and having no trainer then set your own challenges. Use treadmill effectively and start increasing the intensity or changing the intensity time to time for running.
You must decide a schedule that at this particular speed you will warm-up yourself and for 3 to 5 minutes and after warm up, you can run at a faster pace for 1 to 2 minutes and then increase your pace for 30 seconds and then lower down the speed. You can repeat the same sequence without warm-up for 4 to 5 times or may be 3 to 4 times according to your exercise requirement and end up the whole session with a cool-down. Like treadmill, you should set intensity intervals and schedules for using Stairmaster. Always warm-up for about 3-4 minutes then climb at a higher speed when you’re ready to do your intervals. You can have 3 to 4 intervals and then end up at a cool-down.
Elliptical
You must have noticed that elliptical is the most popular cardio exercise equipment nowadays and it is becoming more and more popular as people like it. It is equally famous for losing weight and maintaining health simultaneously. The only thing that you must understand is that you must use it only after you have done your high intensity exercises on treadmills or stairmaster. Decide your goal and then use this equipment accordingly for 15 to 30 minutes. This helps you burning fat in blood stream and burning more calories in less time.
