Folklore: The name tarragon is said to come from its ancient use as a remedy for bites from venomous creatures.
Historical Uses: Tarragon was used to induce appetite, for digestive and menstrual irregularities, and as a remedy for toothache.
Possible Uses: Anorexia, colitis, gas/flatulence, hiccups, PMS, RHEUMATIC FEVER, SCIATICA, abdominal discomfort and spasms, ARTHRITIS, dyspepsia, preventing fermentation, genital urinary tract infection, kidneys, NAUSEA, NERVOUS and SLUGGISH digestion, premenstrual discomfort, and weeping wounds.
